AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF OR]1 1 LNOYE4390 ,
SUBSECTION (A) OF SECTION 13 - 10 , CODE OF OC'E-5r1FAYETTE -
VILLE , ARKANSAS ; TO PROHIBIT THE PRACTICE OF GOING UPON ANY
PRIVATE RESIDENCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING THE SALE OF
SERVICES .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THECITYOF -
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Section 1 of Ordinance No . 1390 , Subsection
(A) of Section 13 - 10 , Code of Ordinances , Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
is hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 1 . The practice of going in and upon any private
residence in the City by solicitors , peddlers , hawkers , itinerant
merchants or transient vendors of merchandise or services , not
having been requested or invited to do so by the owner or oc -
cupant of such private residence , for the purpose of soliciting
orders for the sale of goods , wares , merchandise , or services ,
or for the purpose of disposing of or peddling or hawking the
same is declared to be a misdemeanor .
Section 2 . That all ordinances and resolutions , or parts
thereof , in conflict herewith be , and they hereby are , repealed .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage , approval and publication .
