AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO . l71f7CT'6 qIf MIT THE
SMOKING , CURING AND SELLING OF SMOKED OR CURED POULTRY AND
LIVESTOCK IN UNIT 6 , AGRICULTURE ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
IWHEREAS , a, public hearing was held before the Planning
Commission of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , on August
14 , 1973 , on a proposed amendment to use Unit 6 of Zoning
Ordinance No . 1747 ; and
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing setting forth
the time , date and place and purposes of said hearing was
published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a newspaper of
general circulation in the City , more than fifteen ( 15 ) days
prior to said public hearing , and ;
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning
Commission certified to the Board of Directors of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , its recommendation that an Ordin -
ance be adopted amending Ordinance No . 1747 .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Article 6 , Section [VI ] , Subsection
[ B ] , of Ordinance No . 1747 [ Appendix A , Code of Ordinances ,
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ] is hereby amended to read
as follows :
[VI ] UNIT 6 . AGRICULTURE
[ A ] Description
Unit 6 consists of agricultural uses and services
and certain other uses suitable for location near ,
but not in , residential districts .
[ B ] Included Uses
Agricultural uses and services :
Farm :
Crop
Egg
Truck

Section 2 . Should any section or provision of this ordin -
ance be declared by the courts to be unconstitutional or invalid ,
such decision shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as
a whole , or any part thereof other than the part so declared to
be unconstitutional or invalid .
Section 3 . That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this Ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage , approval ,
and publication .
