HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1922 F ! !_ D FOR RECORD 13 JUL 13 AN 9: 55 " '` ORDINANCE NO . /9 WASHINGTON COUNTY ARKANS:; S AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE BOUNDARIES OF W% CIER rA CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS ; AND FOR OTHER PUR 0 WHEREAS , the boundaries of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas previously existed as shown on Plat 1 attached hereto , and WHEREAS , on June 1 , 1973 , an order was entered by the Judge of the Circuit Court of Washington County , Arkansas , changing the boundaries of the wards in Fayetteville , Ark - ansas , and WHEREAS , a public hearing on proposed boundary changes in the wards of Fayetteville , Arkansas was held by the Board of Directors , of the City of Fayetteville on July 3 , 1973 , and WHEREAS , following said public hearing , the Board of Directors of Fayetteville , Arkansas , determined it to be necessary in the interest of the public for simplicity in ward boundaries , equal representation for all voters and to establish wards of nearly equal population and more nearly equal assessed valuation to change the boundaries of wards in Fayetteville , Arkansas , and WHEREAS , the Board of Directors , acting pursuant to the Acts of Arkansas including Ark . Stats . Ann . 8 19 - 1042 , et , seq . , therefore change the boundaries of wards in Fay . etteville , Arkansas as shown on Plat 3 attached hereto . NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIREC - TORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : Section 1 . That the boundaries of wards in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , be and hereby are changed as shown in Plat 3 attached hereto . Section 2 . That the City Clerk be and hereby is authorized to file copies of the Plat showing the new boundaries of wards in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , in the offices of the Circuit Clerk and County Clerk of Washington County , Arkansas . d of� MICROFILMED DATREEL E� X978 Section 3 . That the City Manager be and hereby is authorized and directed to make arrangements with the County Clerk to transfer all Voter Registration cards to conform to the Ward Boundaries as shown in Plat 3 attached hereto .
