AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : ASSIGNING SAID TERRITORY
TO WARDS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the County Court of Washington County ,
Arkansas did on October 4 , 1971 , make an Order annexing
the following described territory to the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , to - wit :
All that part of the following described territory
lying South and West of a public road : Ten acres
of equal and uniform width off the North side of
the Northeast quarter (NE 1 / 4 ) of the Southeast
Quarter (SE 1 / 4 ) and twenty - four ( 24 ) acres of
equal and uniform width off the South side of the
Southeast Quarter ( SE 1 / 4 ) of the Northeast Quarter
(NE 1 / 4 ) of Section 12 in Township 16 North of
Range 30 West , less and except the following , to - wit :
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Northeast
Quarter (NE 1 / 4 ) of the Southeast Quarter ( SE 1 / 4 )
of said Section 12 and running thence South three
hundred thirty (330 ) feet thence West 420 feet ,
thence North 420 feet , thence East 420 feet , thence
South 90 feet to the point of beginning .
and ,
Part of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1 / 4 ) of the
Northeast Quarter (NE 1 / 4 ) and part of the North -
east Quarter (NE 1 / 4 ) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1 / 4 )
all in Section Twelve ( 12 ) in Township Sixteen ( 16 )
North of Range Thirty ( 30 ) West , being more partic -
ularly described as follows , to - wit : Beginning at
the Northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter ( SE 1 / 4 )
of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1 / 4 ) of Section Twelve
(12 ) , and running thence North 0 degrees 34 minutes
30 seconds East 220 . 65 feet ; thence South 82 degrees
00 minutes East 545 . 5 feet ; thence South 4 degrees
40 minutes West 675 . 05 feet ; thence West 493 . 8 feet ;
thence North 0 degrees 34 minutes 30 seconds East
528 . 0 feet to the point of beginning and containing
8 . 46 acres , more or less .

WHEREAS , the County Clerk of Washington County ,
Arkansas , has forwarded the transcript of said proceedings
to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , and ,
WHEREAS , more than thirty days have elapsed since
the date of said Order and no proceedings have been
instituted in the Circuit Court to prevent said annexation
and no notice thereof has been given as required by law .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
1 . That the annexation of the above described
territory to the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas be , and the same is hereby accepted and all of said
territories are hereby assigned to and made a part of Ward
3 of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
2 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage , approval , and publication .
