AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0 , 1747 AND
ZONING DISTRICT MAP OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , APPROVED
JUNE 29 , 1970 , TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM A - 1 , AGRI -
CULTURAL DISTRICT , TO C - 2 , THOROUGHFARE COMMERCIAL . DISTRICT .
JWHEREAS , a public hearing was held before the Planning
CCommission of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , on October
19 , 1971 on a petition by Duane B . Nelson requesting that
said Planning Commission recommend to the Board of Directors
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that the Board of
Directors enact an ordinance rezoning the following described
property presently zoned A - 1 , Agricultural District , to C - 2 ,
Thoroughfare Commercial District , to - wit :
A part of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1 / 4 ) of the
Northeast Quarter (NE 1 / 4 ) of Section 26 , Township. .
17 North , Range 30 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian ,
Fayetteville , Arkansas , being more particularly described
as follows : Beginning at a point which is North 0 °
46 ' West 1135 . 14 feet and North 89 ° 08 ' West 340 . 0
feet from the Southeast corner of the said Northwest
Quarter (NW 1 / 4 ) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1 / 4 )
of said Section 26 , thence running North 89 ° 08 '
West 621 . 86 feet , thence South 00 46 ' East 330 . 0 feet ,
thence South 89 ° 08 ' East 770 . 38 feet , thence North
1 ° 09 ' East 44 . 38 feet , thence North 0 ° 46 ' West 143 . 0
feet , thence North 89 ° 08 ' West 150 feet , thence North
0 ° 46 ' West 142 . 62 feet to the point of beginning .
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing setting forth
the time , date , place and purposes of said hearing and location
of the property was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times ,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City , more than
fifteen ( 15 ) days prior to said public hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning
Commission certified to the Board of Directors of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , its recommendation that an
Ordinance be - adopted rezoning the above described property
presently zoned A - 1 , Agricultural District , to C - 2 , Thorough -
fare Commercial District .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : p

Section 1 . That the above described property which is
presently zoned A - 1 , Agricultural District be and the same
hereby is , rezoned to C - 2 , Thoroughfare Commercial District .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage ,
approval , and publication .
