WHEREAS , the Board of Directors deems it desirable to define and limit the dates of sale of fireworks . and to prohibit the firing of fireworks during certain hours . NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : Section 1 . That Section 9 - 9 . 1 ( II ) ( a ) of the Code of Ordinances , City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , is hereby amended to read as follows : " (a ) Fireworks may be sold in the City of Fayetteville only on the days of July 1 through July 5 , inclusive , of any calendar year . Provided , it shall be unlawful for any person to sell fireworks , at retail , within the corporate limits of the City , on any other day of the calendar year then the dates above named . " Section 2 , That Section 9 - 27 (1 ) of the Code of Ordinances , City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , is hereby amended to read as follows : " ( 1 ) Article XV of the Fire Prevention Code shall be amended by adding the following sections : Section 1502 . Explosion of Fireworks . ( a ) Fireworks may be exploded on July 1st , 2nd , 3rd , 4th and 5th of each calendar year between the hours of 9 : 00 o ' clock A . M . and 11 : 00 o ' clock P . M . It shall be unlawful for any person , firm or corporation to explode or to cause to be exploded any firecrackers , roman candles , skyrockets , or any other fireworks within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville , on any other day of the year without having first obtained the prior written consent of the mayor specifying the time , place and duration of such explosions or pyrotechnical exhibitions . (b ) Any person , firm or corporation violating any aprt of subsections (a ) of this section saall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor , and upon conviction thereof be fined in an amount not less than five dollars ( $ 5 . 00 ) nor more than twenty - five dollare ( $ 25 . 00 ) " MICROCT 1 ZD GEED bib FAGE ��� DATE oCT 2 tris REEL4!LU,- 2 Section 3 .
