AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO . 1750 , ARTICLE l ,C1PffFTMsKD ,
TO INCLUDE A DEFINITION OF PAVEMENT WIDTH , AND TO INCLUDE A
DEFINITION FOR URBAN STREETS AND RURAL STREETS ; AND TO AMEND
ORDINANCE N0 , 1750 , ARTICLE 4 , TO DESIGNATE THE WIDTH OF LOCAL
STREETS (URBAN) AS THIRTY ( 30 ) FEET AND TO DESIGNATE THE WIDTH
OF COLLECTOR STREETS (URBAN ) AS THIRTY - SIX ( 36 ) FEET .
WHEREAS , a public hearing was held before the Planning Com -
mission of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , on June 1 , 1971 ,
on proposed amendments to the Subdivision Regulations ,
and ,
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing setting forth the time ,
date , place and purposes of said hearing was published in the
Northwest Arkansas Times , a newspaper of general circulation in
the city , more than fifteen days prior to said public hearing , and ,
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning Commission
certified to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , its recommendation that an ordinance be adopted amending
Ordinance No . 1750 [ Subdivision Regulations ] .
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Article 1 , Section D , of Ordinance No . 1750
[ Appendix C , Code of Ordinances , City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ]
is hereby amended by adding a subsection , which said subsection
reads as follows :
"Pavement width : The distance from inside edge of
curb to inside edge of curb ( flow line to flow line ) . "
Section 2 . That Article 1 , Section D , of Ordinance No . 1750
[Appendix C , Code of Ordinances , City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ]
is hereby amended by adding a subsection , which said subsection
reads as follows :
" Urban street : A street located , or to be located ,
within the City Limits., of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas . "
Section 3 . That Article 1 , Section D , of Ordinance No . 1750
[Appendix C , Code of Ordinances , City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ]
is hereby amended by adding a subsection , which said subsection

"RuraZ street : A street located , or to be located ,
outside the City Limits of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , but within the planning area jurisdiction
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas . "
Section 4 . That the standards for street design contained
in Article 4 , of Ordinance No . 1750 [Appendix C , Code of Ordinances ,
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ] is hereby amended to read as fol -
lows :
" STANDARDS FOR STREET DESIGN
Local Streets Collector Streets
Ordinary Hilly Ordinary Hilly
Urban Urban Urban Urban
Pavement
Width 30 ' 30 ' 36 ' 36 '
Section 5 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con -
flict herewith are hereby repealed and this Ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage , approval , and
publication .
