AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO . 1747 AND ZONING
DISTRICT MAP OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , APPROVED JUNE 29 , 1970 ,
TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM A - 1 , AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT , TO
R - 2 , MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT .
WHEREAS , a public hearing was held before the Planning Comm -
ission of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , on January 5 , 1971 ,
on a petition requesting that said Planning Commission recommend
to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
that the Board of Directors enact an ordinance rezoning the
following described property presently zoned A - 1 , Agricultural
District to R - 2 , Medium Density Residential District , to - wit :
Thirty ( 30 ) acres of equal and uniform width off of
the South side of the Southeast quarter of the North -
west quarter of Section thirty - five ( 35 ) in Township
seventeen ( 17 ) North of Range thirty ( 30 ) West , less
and except therefrom two ( 2 ) acres , more or less ,
described as follows : Beginning at a point which is
three hundred thirty ( 330 ) feet South of the Northeast
corner of said forty acre tract , and running , thence West
four hundred twenty ( 420 ) feet ; thence South two hundred
ten ( 210 ) feet ; thence East four hundred twenty ( 420 )
feet ; thence North two hundred ten ( 210 ) feet to the
place of beginning , containing herein twenty - eight ( 28 )
acres , more or less .
and ,
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing setting forth the
time , date , place and purposes of said hearing and location
of the property was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times ,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City , more than
fifteen days prior to said public hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said planning
commission certified to the Board of Directors of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , its recommendation that an Ordinance
be adopted rezoning the above described property presently zoned
A - 1 , Agricultural District to R - 2 , Medium Density Residential
District ,
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the above described property which is
presently zoned A - 1 , Agricultural District be and the same hereby
is rezoned to R - 2 , Medium Density Residential District .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage ,
approval and publication .

1971 .
