AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS ; G NG SAID ERR TORYW R S AND
WHEREAS , the County Court of Washington County , Arkansas ,
did on March 2nd , 1970 , make an order annexing the following
described territory to the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , to -wit :
Part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
Section Thirteen ( 13 ) In Township Sixteen ( 16 ) North of
Range Thirty ( 30 ) West , being more particularly described
as follows : Beginning at the North West corner of said forty
acre tract , and running , thence East five hundred thirty -
eight ( 538 ) feet to the existing fence line , thence South
with said fence line six hundred fifty - seven ( 657 ) feet ;
thence in a Northwesterly direction and parallel along the
right - of - way of State Highway No . 16 a distance of Fifty
( 50 ) feet ; thence South one hundred . fifty ( 150 ) feet to
the North line of Highway No . 16 , thence in a Northwesterly
direction with the North line of said Highway three hundred
forty - five ( 345 ) feet ; thence North two hundred fifty -
one ( 251 ) feet ; thence in a Northwesterly direction and
parallel with said Highway No . 16 one hundred thirty - five
( 135 ) feet to the West line of said forty acre tract ; thence
North five hundred sixteen ( 516 ) feet , more or less to
the place of beginning .
and ,
WHEREAS , the County Clerk of Washington County , Arkansas ,
has forward . the transcript of said proceedings to the Board of
Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and ,
WHEREAS , more than thirty ( 30 ) days have elapsed since the
date of said order and no proceedings has been instituted in
the Circuit Court to prevent said annexation and no notice thereof
as been given as required by law .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the annexation of the above - described
territory to the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , be , and the same is hereby accepted and all of said
territories are hereby assigned to and made a part of Ward
Three of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
Section 2 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
