AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO . 1747 , TO
PROVIDE A METHOD FOR ENTERING AMENDMENTS ON THE OFFICIAL
ZONING MAP ; TO DESIGNATE THE LOCATION OF THE OFFICIAL
ZONING MAP ; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PROVISIONS IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH ; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF
PRIOR ORDINANCES AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE .
WHEREAS , the Planning Commission held a public hearing
on October 6 , 1970 , to consider an ordinance to amend
ordinance number 1747 to provide a less cumbersome method
of amending the Official Zoning Map of the City of Fayette -
ville , Arkansas , and
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing , setting forth
the date , time , place and purposes of said public hearing
was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a newspaper
of general circulation in said City , more than 15 days
prior to said public hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning
Commission certified to the Board of Directors of the
City of Fayetteville , its recommendation that the proposed
ordinance discussed at said meeting , amending ordinance
number 1747 , be adopted .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Paragraph 3 , Section 1 , Article 1 of
ordinance number 1747 is hereby amended to read as follows :
" If , in accordance with the provisions of this
ordinance and Act 186 of 1957 , as amended , Acts of
Arkansas , changes are made in the district boundaries
or other matter portrayed on the Official Zoning Map
such changes shall be entered on the Official Zoning
Map as promptly as is possible after the amendment
has been approved by the City Board of Directors , with
an entry on the Official Zoning Map as follows :
' Amended -to . . by Ordinance No . Amendment to this
ordinance w icri involves matter portrayed on the
Official Zoning Map shall become effective upon the
passage , approval and publication of the amending
ordinance . "
Section 2 . That Paragraph S . Section 1 , Article 1 of

Ordinance number 1747 is hereby amended to read as follows :
"The Official Zoning Map shall be located in
the office of the City Clerk . A conformed copy of
the Official Zoning Map shall be located in the
office of the Planning Administrator . "
Section 3 . That this Ordinance shall repeal every
prior Ordinance and provision of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , in conflict herewith
but only insofar as the portion of such prior Ordinance or
provision shall be in conflict , and as to all other Ordinances
or provisions of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , not in direct conflict herewith ,
this Ordinance shall be and is hereby made cumulative .
Section 4 . That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage , approval
and publication .
