WHEREAS , a public hearing was held before the Planning Commis - sion of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , on July .15 , 1969 , on the petition of William M . Voss and Alice L . Voss , requesting that said Planning Commission recommend to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that the Board of Directors enact an ordinance rezoning the following described property , presently zoned R - 16 , Sin - gle Family Residential District to R - 3 , Multi - Family Residential Dis - trict , to - wit : A part of Lot 7 in Block 10 in Parker ' s Plat of Valley View Acres . More particularly described as follows , to - wit : Beginning at a point 100 feet east of the SW corner of said Lot 7 and running 181 . 62 feet , more or less , to the SE corner of said Lot 7 , thence north 103 . 24 feet , thence west along the property line as set forth in Chan - cery Decree recorded in Book 71 at Page 332 of records of the Chancery Court in and for Washington County , State of Arkansas , 170 feet more or less to a point which is six feet east of a garage , thence South 13 . 5 feet , thence West 11 . 62 feet , more or less , to a point 89 . 74 feet due north of the point of beginning , thence south 89 . 74 feet to the point of beginning . and , WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing , setting forth the date , time , place and purposes of said hearing and location of the property was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a newspaper of general circulation in said City , more than 15 days prior to said public hearing , and WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning Commis - sion certified to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville , its recommendation that an ordinance be adopted rezoning the above - described property , presently zoned R - 1B , Single Family Residential District , to R - 3 , Multi - Family Residential District . NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS : SECTION 1 .
