AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THAT SECTION OF U . S . HIGHWAY 71 FROM
THE INTERSECTION OF U . S . HIGHWAY 71 BY - PASS AND U . S . HIGHWAY
71 RUNNING NORTH TO THE NORTH CITY LIMITS OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS , A CONTROLLED ACCESS HIGHWAY .
WHEREAS , at its meeting on April 1 , 1969 , the Planning
Commission of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , by Resolution
PC 14 - 69 , recommended to the Board of Directors of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that an ordinance be enacted for the
purpose of designating the section of U . S . Highway 71 from the
intersection of U . S . Highway 71 By - Pass and U . S . Highway 71 ,
running North to. the North City limits of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
a controlled access highway .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the section of U . S . Highway 71 from the
intersection of U . S . Highway 71 By - Pass and U . S . Highway 71 ,
running North to the North City limits of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , be , and the same hereby is , designated a controlled
access highway .
SECTION 2 . That all ordinances or parts of -ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed , and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage , approval
and publication .
