AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT AND CONFIRM DEDICATIONS TQ'E %Tp.� j LANDS
IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , FOR THE, jU XTF SIO OF
BROADVIEW DRIVE , f, r, ;rj • � ' -
WHEREAS , there has been duly presented to the Board
of Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , two deeds ,
wherein the grantors have granted for the public use certain
lands to the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas for the purpose of
extending Broadview Drive in said city , and
WHEREAS , said deeds and the lands granted therein to
the City of Fayetteville are as follows :
1 . A warranty deed , dated May 1 , 1968 , from Patrick
M . Reed and Ethel Jean Reed , husband and wife , for the following
described lands situated in Washington County , Arkansas , to-wit :
A part of the Northwest Quarter (NW ° 1/4 ) of the North-
east Quarter (NE 1/ 4 ) of Section Ten ( 10 ) in Township
Sixteen ( 16 ) North of Rmge Thirty ( 30 ) West of the
Fifth Principal Meridian , and being more particularly
described as follows , to -wit : Beginning at a point
which is three hundred eighteen ( 318 ) feet South and
two hundred ten ( 210 ) feet East of the North West
corner of said forty ( 40 ) acre tract , and running
thence East fifty ( 50 ) feet ; thence South one hundred
seven and fourteen hundredths ( 107 . 14 ) feet ; thence
North 25001 ' West , one hundred eighteen and twenty -
three hundredths ( 118 . 23 ) feet to the point of begin -
ning . This parcel of land being deeded to the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , a municipal corporation for
the extension of Broadview Drive ,
2 . A quitclaim deed , dated May 1 , 1968 , executed by
Lavon B . Smith and Mary Virginia Smith , his wife , for the following
described land situated in Washington County , Arkansas , to-wit :
A part of the Northwest Quarter ( NW 1/4 ) of the Northeast
Quarter ( NE 1/4 ) of Section Ten ( 10 ) in Township Sixteen
( 16 ) North of Range Thirty ( 30 ) West of the Fifth Princi -
pal Meridian , and being more particularly described as
follows , to-wit : Beginning at a point Three hundred
eighteen ( 318 ) feet South and Two hundred sixty ( 260 )
feet East of the North West corner of said fort ( 40 )
acre tract , and running thence East forty five 45 )
feet ; thence South two hundred ( 200 ) feet ; thence West
forty five ( 45 ) feet ; thence North two hundred ( 200 ) feet

deeded to the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , a
municipal corporation , for the extension of Broadview
Drive .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
hereby accepts and confirms the grant and dedication by said
deeds of the aforedescribed lands for a public street , i . e . ,
the extension of Broadview Drive , and hereby declares said
street to be a public street ; and the Board of Directors hereby
assumes the care , control and jurisdiction of the same .
SECTION 2 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage , approval and publication .
PASSED AND APPROVED this day of 1968 .
