3 WHEREAS , A public hearing was held before the Planning Commission
of the City of Fayetteville , on Tuesday , March 26 , 1968 , on the petition
of Ben Winborn , requesting that said Planning Commission recommend to the
Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that the Board
of Directors enact an ordinance rezoning the following described property ,
presently zoned A- 1 Annexed Territory District , to R- lA Single Family
Residential District , to-wit :
A part of the East half ( E 1/2 ) of the fractional
Northwest Quarter ( NW 1/4 ) of Sec . 2 , T- 16 -N ,
R- 30 , W , of the 5th P . M . , County of Washington , State
of Arkansas , and being more particularly described
as follows , to-wit :
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the East half
of the fractional Northwest Quarter ( NW 1/ 4 ) of said
Section 2 , thence North 1273 . 70 feet , thence N 89 °
55 ' E , 683 . 18 feet ; thence South 1276 . 76 feet ; thence
N 890 49 ' W 683 . 18 feet , to the point of beginning ,
containing in all , 20 acres , more or less .
and
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing , setting forth the date ,
time , place and purposes of said hearing and location of property was
published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a newspaper of general circu-
lation in said city , more than 15 days prior to said public hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning Commission
certified to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
its recommendation that an ordinance be adopted rezoning the above -describ -
ed property , presently zoned A- 1 Annexed Territory District to R- 1A ,
Single Family Residential District .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the above -described property , which is presently
zoned A- 1 Annexed Territory District , : be : aind the same is hereby rezoned
to R- lA Single Family Residential district .
SECTION 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed , and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage , approval and publication .
