WHEREAS , a public hearing was held before t eI ,P h n`gl Com-
mission of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas on Tuesday ,LIFebruary
20 , 1968 , on the petition of Ed Warmack , requesting that said Plan-
ning Commission recommend to the Board of Directors of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , that the Board of Directors enact an ordi -
nance rezoning the following described property , presently zoned
R-P , Professional Office Residential District , to C- 2 Thoroughfare
Commercial District , to-wit :
A part of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/ 4 of Section 26 ,
T- 17-N , R- 30-W, more particularly described as
follows : Commencing at a point 210 feet south of
the NW corner of said 40 acre tract , thence east
420 feet , thence north 30 feet , thence east 260
feet , for a beginning point ; thence South 465
feet , thence west 140 feet ; thence north 465
feet ; thence east 140 feet to the point of begin-
ning .
and
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing , setting forth the
date , time , place and purposes of said hearing and location of pro-
perty was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a newspaper of
general circulation in said city , more than 15 days prior to said
public hearing , and 4
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning Commis -
sion certified to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , its recommendation that an ordinance be adopted rezoning
the above -described property , presently zoned R-P , Professional Office
Residential District to C- 2 Thoroughfare Commercial District .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the above-described property , which is present-
ly zoned R-P Professional Office Residential District , be and the same
hereby is rezoned to C- 2 Thoroughfare Commercial District .
SECTION 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
lpilgl �erewith are hereby repealed , and this ordinance shall be in full
orce ...4nd effect from and after its passage , approval and publication .
