WHEREAS . a public hearing was held tbgAore Lfih�iEPlanning
Commission of the City of Fayetteville , Arkan00a >#j Cbaftctober 10 ,
1967 , on the petition of Barker E . Adair and Carol R . Adair ,
requesting that said Planning Commission recommend to the Board of
Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that the Board
of Directors enact an ordinance rezoning the following described
territory , presently zoned A-1 Annexed Territory District to
R-2 Two Family Residential District , to -wit :
Part of the Southwest Quarter ( SW 1/4 ) of the North -
east Quarter NE 1/4 ) of Section Twenty ( 20 ) in Town -
ship Sixteen ( 16 ) North of Range Twenty -Nine ( 29 )
West , described as beginning at a point on the East
side of the County road , which runs along the West
side of said forty acre tract , three hundred ( 300 )
feet North of the point of intersection of the East
line of said road and the North line of said State
Highway No . 16 near the Southwest corner of said
forty acre tract , and running , thence North with
the East line of said county road five hundred fifty
( 550 ) feet ; thence East two hundred (200 ) feet ; thence
South five hundred fifty ..( 550 ) feet , more or less , to
the North line of a tract conveyed to William K . Harris ;
thence West with the North line of said tract two
hundred ( 200 ) feet , more or less to the place of
beginning , containing three ( 3 ) acres more or less .
and
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing , setting forth the
date , time , place and purposes of said hearing and location of
the property was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a news -
paper of general circulation in said City , more than 15 days prior
to said public hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning Comm-
ission certified to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayette -
ville , Arkansas , its recommendation that an ordinance be adopted
rezoning the above -described territory , presently zoned A-1
Annexed Territory District to R-2 Two Family Residential District .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :

SECTION 1 . That the above -described property , which is
presently zoned A-1 Annexed Territory District , be and the same
is hereby rezoned to R -2 Two Family Residential District ,
SECTION 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed , and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage , approval and
publication .
