AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO , 1239 AND REVISED ZONING
DISTRICT MAP OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , APPROVEDXMAY1@ jMT962 , AS
AMENDED , TO REZONE CERTAIN REAL ESTATE FROM R72 TWO,'�'�A�M�iLy RESI -
DENTIAL DISTRICT TO C-1 NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAIL'IDIS#P
WHEREAS , a public hearing was held before the Planning
Commission of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , on October 10 ,
1967 , on a petition of J . Austin Parish and Ethel R . Parish ,
requesting that said Planning Commission recommend to the Board of
Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that the Board
of Directors enact an ordinance rezoning the following described
territory , presently zoned R-2 Two Family Residential District to
C-1 Neighborhood Commercial District , to-wit :
A part of the Southwest Quarter ( SW 1/4 ) of the
Northwest Quarter ( NW 1/4 ) of Section Nine ( 9 )
Township Sixteen ( 16 ) North , Range Thirty ( 30 )
West of the 5th P . M . , being more particularly
described as follows : Beginning at a poiht 685
feet South and 180 feet East of the Northwest
corner of said Forty ( 40 ) acre Tract ; thence
running North 50 . 0 feet ; thence East 348 . 0 feet ;
thence South 50 . 0 feet ; thence West 348 . 0 feet
to the Point of beginning , Washington County ,
Arkansas ,
and
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing , setting forth the
date , time , place and purposes of said hearing and location of
the property was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a news -
paper of general circulation in said City , more than 15 days prior
to said public hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning Comm-
ission certified to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayette -
ville , Arkansas , its recommendation that an ordinance be adopted
rezoning the above -described territory , presently zoned R- 2
Two Family Residential District , to C- 1 Neighborhood Commercial
District ,
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the above -described territory which is
presently zoned R-2 Two Family Residential District be , and the
same is hereby rezoned to C -1 Neighborhood Commercial District .

SECTION 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed , and this ordinance shall be
