1 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TERRITORY ANNEXED TO ALMAVt01.LMEYER
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS ; ASSIGN- CIRCUIT CLERK
ING SAID 'TERRITORY TO WARDS AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES :
WHEREAS , the County Court of Washington County , Arkansas ,
did on May 25 , 1967 , make an order annexing the following des -
cribed territory to the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , ' to-wit :
Beginning at a point 211 . 2 ' east and 252 . 1 '
South of the Southwest Corner of. the North-
west Quarter ( NW 1 / 4 ) of the Northeast Quarter
( NE 1 / 4 ) of Section Thirty-two ( 32 ) , Township
Sixteen ( 16 ) North , Range Thirty ( 30 ) West ,
running South 70010 thence West 211 . 21 , thence
South ' 243 . 9 ' more or less , to surveyor ' s
monument , thence North 60 degrees 36 minutes
East to junction with city limits comprising
10 . 4 acres more or less ,
and
WHEREAS , the County Clerk of Washington County , Arkansas ,
has forwarded the transcript of said proceedings to the Board of
Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and
WHEREAS , more than thirty ( 30 ) -days have elapsed since
the. date of said order and no proceeding has been instituted in
the Circuit Court to prevent said annexation and no notice there-
of has been given as required by law .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS,
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the annexation of ,the above - described
territory to the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , be and the same is hereby accepted and all of said
territories are hereby assigned to and made a part of Ward One ,
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
SECTION 2 . That nothing contained in this Ordinance shall
be construed as accepting or in any way recognizing the validity
of purported County Plat entitled " Sunrise . Mountain Second Addition"
which plat is attached to the said County Court order of annexation
and upon which the aforesaid metes and bounds description has been
superimposed , it being the intention of the Board of Directors by
this Ordinance to accept said annexed territory only on the basis
of the metes and bounds description and not as platted or sub-
divided land .
