AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TERRITORY TO THEIR IJt1YCUN
FAYETTEVILLE# ARKANSAS, ASSIGNING SAID TERRITORY TO
WARDS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, On January 2, 1967, the County Court
of Washington County, Arkansas, entered an order annexing
the following described territory to the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, to-wit:
The following described lands all lying within
Sections Seven (7) and Eighteen (18), Township Sixteen
(16) North Range Thirty (30) West, and Section Twelve
(12) Township Sixteen (16) North Range Thirty- one (31)
West of the Fifth (5th) Principal Meridian and
situated in Washington County, Arkansas: Beginning
at a point One Hundred Ninety-Five (195) feet West
of the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter
(NEI/ 4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW1 / 4) of Section
Seven (7) and running thence West along the North
boundary line of said Section Seven (7) to the North-
west corner of said Northeast Quarter (NEI / 4) of
the Northwest Quarter (NWl /: 4 of Section Seven (7) ;
thence South)to the North right- of- way line of State
Highway No . ,16 ; thence West along said North right-
of-way line of State Highway No . 16 to a point which
is One Hundred and Fifty and 73 / 100 (150 . 73) feet
West of the West boundary line of Section Seven (7) ;
thence South to the centerline of said State Highway
No . 16, thence South One Thousand and Six (1, 006)
feet, thence East Seven Hundred and Ten and 97 / 100
(710 . 97) feet; thence South Sixteen Hundred Seventy-
Six and 99/ 100 (1, 676 . 99) feet to the South boundary
line of Section Seven (7) ; thence East One Thousand
One Hundred and Seventy-Nine and 98 / 100 (1, 179 . 98)
feet; thence South Sixty (60 ) feet; thence East
Fourteen Hundred Ninety- One and 70 / 100 (1, 491. 70)
feet to a point which is Sixty (60) feet South of the
Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter (SEI/ 4)
of the Southwest Quarter (SW1 / 4) of said Section
Seven (7) ; thence North to the South right- of-way
line of State Highway No . 16 ; thence East along the
South right-of- way line of State Highway No . 16 to
the East line of the Northwest Quarter (NW1 / 4)
of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/ 4) of Section Seven
(7 ) ; thence East to the middle of the Mt . Comfort
Branch; thence in a Northerly direction along the
middle of Mt=. Comfort Branch to a point which is
Twelve Hundred and Ten (1210 ) feet West and Six
Hundred and Ten (610) feet North of the Southeast
corner of the Northeast Quarter (NEI / 4) of said

Section Seven (7) ; thence West to the West boundary
line of the Southeast Quarter (SEl/ 4) of the Northeast
Quarter (NE1/ 4) of said Section Seven (7) ; thence
North Seven Hundred and Ten (710) feet to the
Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW1 / 4)
of the Northeast Quarter (NE1 / 4) of said Section
Seven (7) ; thence West to a point which is One Hundred
Ninety-five (195) feet West of the Southeast corner
of the Northeast Quarter (NEI/ 4) of the Northwest
Quarter (NWl/ 4) of said Section Seven (7) ; thence
North Thirteen Hundred and Twenty (1320) feet to the
North boundary line of Section Seven (7) being the
point of beginning. Also a part of the Southeast
Quarter (SEI/ 4) of the Northeast Quarter (NEI / 4)
of Section Seven (7), Township Sixteen (16 ) North,
Range Thirty (30) West of the Fifth (5th) Principal
Meridian described as follows, beginning at a
point appxzimately Nine Hundred Eighty-Nine
(989) feet West of the Southeast corner of said
Forty (40) acre tract, said point being in line with
the East line of West End Avenue in the S . T . Russell
Sub - Division and running thence North along the East
line of said West End Avenue Six Hundred and Ten
(610) feet; thence West Two Hundred Twenty- One
(221) feet more or less to the center of a branch
sometimes called Mt . Comfort Branch; thence
running in a southeasterly direction with the
center of said branch to a point Two Hundred (200)
feet North of the South line of said Forty (40)
acre tract; thence East to the West line of the said
West End Avenue; thence South to the South line
of said Forty (40) acre tract; thence East Forty
(40) feet more or less to the point of beginning.
(Total acreage annexed 300 :4 acres , more or less . )
and
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have elapsed since the
date of said order of annexation and no proceedings have been
instituted in the Circuit Court to prevent said annexation, and
no notice of appeal has been filed
and
WHEREAS, on February 6, 1967, the County Court of
Washington County, Arkansas entered an order confirming such
annexation proceedings ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That annexation of the above - described territory
to the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be and

the same is hereby accepted, and all of said territory is hereby
assigned to and made a part of Ward �_ of the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas .
SECTION 2 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
