AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 1517 OF OCTOBER 3 , 1966s
TO CORRECT THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE PROPERTY PROPOSED FOR
ANNEXATION BY ORDINANCE NO , 1517 .
WHEREAS , through oversight certain of the descriptions of the
properties shown on the annexation map , approved by the Planning Commission
and the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , were inad-
vertently omitted from Ordinance No . 1517 , submitting the question of annex-
ation to the voters , and
WHEREAS , it was the intention of the Board of Directors of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , to include all property shown on said map in the
proposed annexation , and to that end the Board of Directors has given wide
circulation and publicity to reproductions of said map , and
WHEREAS , it is the desire of the Board of Directors to amend Ordin-
ance No . 1517 so as to conform the descriptions of the property therein con-
tained to the aforesaid map , in order to confirm the Board ' s intention that
all of the properties shown on said map be included in the proposed annex -
ation area .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That Section 1 of Ordinance No . 1517 of October 3 , 1966 ,
be amended by adding thereto the following paragraphs and descriptions :
1116 . All of the West Half ( W 1 / 2 ) of Section 13 , Township
16 North , Range 30 West of the 5th Principal Meridian ,
except that portion of said lands within the present corpor -
ate limits of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and the area lying
South of the said present corporate limits line South of
State Highway No . 16 .
17 . All of Sections 14 , 15 , 17 , 18 and 29 , Township 16 ,
North, Range 30 West of the 5th Principal Meridian , except
that portion of said lands within the present corporate limits
of Fayetteville , Arkansas . "
That Section 1 of Ordinance 1517 should be further amended and
corrected by deleting from paragraph "9 . " the word "30 " between "Range "
and " West " and adding " 31 " and deleting "Half ( NE 1 / 2 ) " after "Northeast "
and adding "Quarter (NE 1 / 4 ) " , so as to read:

That Section 1 of Ordinance 1517 should be further amended and
corrected by deleting "Southwest Quarter (SW 1 /4" following the word
"Northwest Quarter ( NW 1 / 4) " in paragraph 15 and adding "Southeast
Quarter (SE 1 / 4) " , so as to read:
" 15. All of the Northwest Quarter ( NW 1 /4) , the West Half
(W 1 /2) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1 / 4) , the Northwest
Quarter (NW 1 /4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1 / 4) and the
North Half (N 1 / 2) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1 / 4) of
Section 34, Township 16 North, Range 30 West , of the 5th
Principal Meridian .
SECTION 2 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage , approval and publication, and the City Clerk
is directed to publish this ordinance in the Northwest Arkansas Times
once each day of regular publication following the date of adoption until
the date of election .
