AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR REGULAR MEETINGS
OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS ,
AND REPEALING SECTIONS 2 -2 AND 2 - 3 , CODE OF ORDINANCES , OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS .
WHEREAS , under applicable Law of the State of Arkansas , it is
the duty of the Board of Directors to establish regular meeting
days for said Board , within the first and third weeks in each
calendar month ,
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That regular meetings of the Board of Directors
shall be held on Monday in the first and third weeks of each
calendar month at 7 : 30 p . m . in the City Council Room of the City
Administration Building ,
SECTION 2 . That when any such meeting falls on a legal
holiday , the meeting shall be held on a substituted date fixed
by adjournment at the last preceding meeting .
SECTION 3 . That Sections 2 - 2 and 2 - 3 , Code of Ordinances ,
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and all other ordinances
or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed .
SECTION 4 . That in order to comply with the laws of the
State of Arkansas calling for regular meetings within the first
and third weeks of each calendar month and because of the need to
provide for the continued operation of the City of Fayetteville ,
an emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance being
necessary for the preservation of the public peace , health and
safety , the same shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage . 74
