WHEREAS , there has been duly presented to the City Council oCt7BGCityL
Fayetteville , Arkansas , three quitclaim deeds , wherein the grantors have granted for
public use certain lands to the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , for the purpose of
extending Storer Avenue and Lawson Street in said City , and
WHEREAS , said quitclaim deeds and the lands granted therein to the City of
Fayetteville are as follows :
1 . A quitclaim deed, dated May 31 , 1947 , from Frieda Oliver for the following
described lands situated in Washington County , to- wit :
Part of the Vlest Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section Nine (9 ) ,
Township Sixteen ( 16 ) North , Range 30 Wz� st of the 5th P . M . , described
as beginning at a point which is 1500 feet North of the Southeast corner
of said eighty ( 80 ) acre tract; thence North twenty ( 20 ) feet; thence West
420 feet; thence South twenty ( 20 ) feet; thence East 420 feet to the point of
beginning .
2 . A quitclaim deed, dated June 10 , 1965 , executed by Eugene Orvel Cunningham
and Pauline E . Cunningham , husband and wife , for the following described lands
situated in said County , to- wit :
Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section Nine ( 9) in
Township 16 North , Range 30 West , described as beginning three hundred
twenty ( 320) feet North and two hundred ninety ( 290 ) feet W .: st of the Southeast
corner of said forty acre tract , and running thence West forty ( 40 ) feet; thence
North ninety (90 ) feet ; thence East forty ( 40 ) feet ; thence South ninety (90 )
feet to the point of beginning .
3 . A quitclaim deed, dated June 10 , 1965 , executed by Richard B . Greer and
Sadie P . Greer , husband and wife , for the following described lands situated in
said County , to- wit:
Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section Nine ( 9 )
in 'Township Sixteen ( 16) North , Range Thirty ( 30 ) West , described as
beginning two hundred ( 200 ) feet North of the Southeast corner of said forty
acre tract , and running thence North twenty ( 20 ) feet; thence West four
hundred twenty ( 420) feet ; thence South twenty ( 20 ) feet; thence East four
hundred twenty ( 420 ) feet to the point of beginning , said tract together with
a 20 feet by 420 feet strip , adjacent along the South line of the above described
tract , which was deeded to the City of Fayetteville by Frieda Oliver on
May 31 , 1947 , to form the extension of Lawson Street from its present location
extended from Oakland Avenue 240 feet an additional 420 feet to Leverett

Seven hundred ( 700 ) feet South and two hundred ninety ( 290 ) feet West of the
Northeast corner of said forty acre tract , and running thence West forty ( 40 )
feet ; thence South two hundred ten ( 210 ) feet; thence East forty ( 40 ) feet ;
thence North two hundred ten ( 210 ) feet to the place of beginning . Also ,
beginning one thousand ( 1000 ) feet South and two hundred ninety ( 290 ) feet
West of the Northeast corner of said forty acre tract; and running thence
West forty ( 40 ) feet ; thence South one hundred ( 100 ) feet to the North line of
the first above described tract ; thence East forty ( 40) feet ; thence North
one hundred ( 100 ) feet to the point of beginning , to form an extension of Storer
Avenue in the City of Fayetteville , and
WHEREAS , the Planning Commission of the City of Fayetteville , has recommended
the acceptance of said lands for public streets .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTTY
OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :

SECTION 1 . That the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , hereby accept and confirms
the grant and dedication by said quitclaim deeds of the afore - described lands for public
streets , and hereby declares said streets to be public streets ; and the City Council
hereby assumes the care , control and jurisdiction of the same .
SECTION 2 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage , approval and publication .
PASSED AND APPROVED this seventh day of September , 1965 .
