AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF FAYET *ILLE ,
ARKANSAS , ASSIGNING SAID TERRITORY TO WARDS , AND FOR OT 'WRPOSE .y ARK.

WHEREAS , the County Court of Washington County , Arkansas , did Judy LI,FRK
1965 , make an order annexing the following described territory to the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , to= wit:
A tract of land abutting Highway 16 East , running from the present City
limits of Fayetteville , Arkansas , East along Highway 16 East Three
Hundred ( 300 ) feet in width on each side of said highway to the West end
of the bridge on said highway spanning the Middle Fork of White River .
Also, all of Watson ' s Addition; Green Briar Addition; Lewis - Baldwin
Addition; Lots 8 to 14 inclusive , Bassett Subdivision, and the Green
Hills Subdivision .
Part of the SW 1 / 4 of the SE 1 / 4 of the SW 1 / 4 of Section 14 , and part
of the NW 1 / 4 of the NE 1 / 4 of the NW 1 /4 of Section 23 , described as
beginning at a point 4. 8 feet North of the Southeast corner of the SW 1 /4
of the SE 1 / 4 of the SW 1 / 4 of Section 14; thence South 100 feet; thence
West 260 feet ; thence North 100 feet; thence East 260 feet to the point
of beginning , all in Township 16 North , Range 30 West;
Part of the SE 1 / 4 of the NE 1 / 4 of Section 19 in Township 16 North ,
Range 29 West , more particularly described as follows , to- wit: Beginning
at the Southwest corner of said 40 acre tract and running thence North
1252 . 2 feet, thence East 450 feet , thence South 1252 . 2 feet; thence West
450feet to the point of beginning , containing 12 . 94 acres , more or less , a
perpetual easement is hereby reserved over and across the East 10 feet
of the above described property for a roadway .
A part of the NE 1 / 4 of the NW 1 / 4 of Section 23 , Township 16 North ,
Range 30 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian , and being . more particularly
described as follows ; to- wit: Beginning at a point which is 150 feet South
of the Northeast corner of said 40 acre tract and running thence West 120
feet; . thence South 120 feet; thence East 120 feet; thence North 126 feet to
the place of beginning .
A part of the NE 1 / 4 of the NW 1 /4 of Section 23 in Township 16 North, '
Range 30 West , and being more particularly described as follows , to- wit: .
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the said NE 1 / 4 of the NW 1 / 4 and run
running thence South 150 feet; thence West 120 feet; thence North 150 feet;
thence East 120 feet to the place of beginning , containing 38 / 160 of an
acre , be the same , more or less .
The N 1 / 2 of the SE 1 / 4 of the SW 1 / 4 and the South 10 acres of the NE 1 / 4
of the SW 1 / 4 of Section 14 in Township 16 North , Range 30 West , containing
30 acres , more or less .

Part of the SW 1 / 4 of the NE' 1 / 4 and SE i / 4 of the NW 1 / 4 of Section 23 ,
Township 16 North, Range 30 'Vest , being more particularly described
as follows , to-wit: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot One ( 1 ) in
Block Four (4) of Watson Addition, thence South 300 feet; thence East to
the West line of Jerry Avenue extended, thence North 8 degrees 30 minutes
West along West line of Jerry Avenue extended to the Southeast corner
of Lot Ten ( 10 ) , Block Four ( 4) of Watson Addition , thence West 959 . 55
feet to the point of beginning .
and,
WHEREAS , the County Clerk of Washington County , Arkansas , has forwarded
a transcript of said proceedings to the City Council of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and
WHEREAS , more than thirty days have elapsed since the date of said order ,
and no proceeding has been instituted in the Circuit Court to prevent said annexation,
and no notice thereof has been given as required by law .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That annexation of the above - described territory to the corporate
limits of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , be and the same is hereby accepted,
and all of said territory is hereby assigned to and made a part of Ward 3 of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas .
SECTION 2 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and' after
its passage , approval and publication .
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 7th day of September ; 1965 .
