WHEREAS , a public hearing was held before the Plan 7% gfi6ission til
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , on April 27 , 1965 , on t petition -- -
of Joe E . Smith , requesting that said Planning Commission recommend to
the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas , that the City
Council enact an Ordinance rezoning the following described property ,
which is presently zoned R- 2 Two Family Residential District and I - 2
Heavy Industrial District , to-wit :
Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 21 , Township 16 North , Range 30 West of the 5th
Principal Meridian , County of Washington , State of Arkansas ,
and being more particularly described as follows , to-wit :
Beginning at a point which is 85 . 14 feet North and 44 . 60 feet
West of the Southeast corner of the above-mentioned 40 acre
tract , thence North 366 . 60 feet to the intersection of the center-
line of the Town Creek , thence along said centerline of the Town
Creek N 430 16 ' W , 231 . 15 feet , thence N 300 04 ' W , 203 . 60 feet ,
thence West 387 . 90 feet to the East right of way of the St . Louis
and San Francisco Railroad , thence Southwesterly along said right
of way 755 feet , more or less , to a point that is due West of
the point of beginning , thence East 915 feet , more or less , to
the point of beginning , containing in all 11 . 50 acres , more or
less ;
from R- 2 Two Family Residential District and I - 2 Heavy Industrial District
to 0 - 1 Open Land District , and
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing , setting forth the date ,
time , place and purpose of hearing , and location of the property was
published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a newspaper of general
circulation in said City , more than 15 days prior to said public
hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing said Planning Commission
certified to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas ,
its recommendation that an ordinance be adopted rezoning the above-
described property , which is presently zoned R- 2 Two Family Residential
District and I - 2 Heavy Industrial District , to 0 - 1 Open Land District :
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the above-described property which is presently
zoned R- 2 Two Family Residential District and I - 2 Heavy Industrial District
