AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1414 , PROHIBITING THE PARKING
OF VEHICLES ON CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS , AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
r ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 , That Ordinance No . 1414 be amended to read as follows :
"SECTION 1 . It shall be unlawful for any persons , firm or corporation
to park a vehicle of any kind whatsoever on either side of the pavement of the
following designated streets in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas :
Maple from Mission to Arkansas Avenue
Gregg from Douglas to Dickson
University from Williams to Dickson
Douglas from Leverett to Gregg ( only on the North side )
Beginning at the intersection of School Street and . Sixth Street ,
proceeding thence East to Locust ; thence South on Locust to
Seventh Street; thence East to Seventh Street to Wood Street and
from Wood Street North to Highway 16 East
Twenty- Fourth Street ( Country Club Road)
SECTION 2 . During the hours from 8 : 00 a . m . to 6 : 00 p . m . , it shall be
unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to park a vehicle of any kind what -
soever on either side of the pavement of the following designated streets in the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas :
Leverett Avenue from Maple to Douglas ( Only on the West side )
Meadow from Church to Block
Spring from Church to College
SECTION 3 . Ahy person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of
this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and , upon conviction
thereof, shall be fined in a sum of not more that $25 . 00 for each offense . "
SECTION 2 . It appearing that the above named streets are congested by
reason of heavy traffic , and it being necessary for the protection of the public health ,
and safety , an emergency is hereby declared to exist , and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .
