AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE 140 , 1239 AND REVISED
ZONING DISTRICT MAP OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , APPROVED MAY
28 , 1962 , TO REZONE CERTAIN REAL ESTATE FROM R- 3 MULTI-FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO C - 3 CENTRAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT .
WHEREAS , a public hearing was held before the Planning
Commission of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , on November
31 1964 , on the petition of M . C . Aumick , Bertha Poore and
Basil Nelson , requesting that said Planning Commission re-
commend to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , that the City Council enact an ordinance rezoning
the following described property, to-wit : A part of Block
40 in the Original Plat of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
described as follows , to-wit : Beginning at a point 86 feet
east of the Northwest corner of said Block 40 and running
thence East 237h feet ; thence South 141' feet ; thence West
162h feet ; thence North 1413% feet ; thence West 70 . 8 feet to
the middle of the alley , thence North bearing west with the
middle of the alley 127 feet to the point of beginning , from
R- 3 Multi-Family Residential District to C- 3 Central Commercial
District , and
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing , setting forth
the date , time , place and purposes of hearing , and location
of property was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times ,
a newspaper of general circulation in said City , more than
15 days prior to said public hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning
Commission certified to the City Council of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , its recommendation that an ordinance
be adopted rezoning the above described property from R- 3
Multi-Family Residential District to C -3 Central Commercial
District ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That the above described property presently
zoned as R- 3 Multi-Family Residential District be , and the
same is hereby rezoned to C -3 Central Commercial District .
SECTION 2 . That all ordinances or parts or ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed , and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage ,
approval and publication .
