AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 1216 ESTABLISHING NO TRUCK ROUTES
ON CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS,
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . That Ordinance No,. 12'16 is hereby' amended- to read as
follows :
"SECTION 2 . There is hereby established within the corporate limits of the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , the following "no truck routes " :
Hall Street
Cleveland Street
Sunset Drive
That portion of Razorback Road lying between Maple
Street and Cleveland Street
That portion of Sixth Street lying between School
Street and Wood Street
That portion of Wood Street between Sixth Street and
Huntsville . "
SECTION 2 . That Ordinance No . 1216 be further amended by providing that
from and after the passage of this Ordinance , and after proper signs are installed
designating the provisions of the Ordinance , any person or persons in violation of
this Ordinance shall be fined in a sum not to exceed $25 . 00 .
SECTION 3 . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed and this ordinance being necessary to relieve traffic congestion on
streets within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and being
necessary for the protection of the public health , peace and safety , an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval .
