CERTAIN REAL ESTATE FROM ZONE R - 4 MULTI= FAMI{.Y JAL AND
DORMITORY DISTRICT TO C- 3 CENTRAL COMMERCIAL'# RI
WHEREAS , a public hearing was held before the Planning Commission of the City of
Fayetteville . Arkansas on April $. 1961 , . on the petition of Collier Rexall Drug Store , Inc . ,
requesting that said Planning Commission recommend to the City Council of the City of
Fayetteville . Arkansas , that said City Council enact an ordinance to rezone from R - 4
Multi- Family Residential. Dormitory District to C- 3 Central Commercial District all of
the following described real estate , to - wit:
Part of Lot Numbered Fifteen ( 15) and Fourteen ( 14) of Block Numbered Nine (9 )
in the County Court Addition to the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , described as
beginning at a point two hundred ( 200 ) feet North of the Southwest corner of Lot
Numbered 15 in Block Numbered 9 in said addition, and running , thence North
eighty- five and one - half ( 85- 1 / 2) feet; thence East one hundred sixty '( 160 ) feet;
thence South eighty- five and one - half ( 85- 1 / 2 ) feet; thence West one hundred
sixty ( 160 ) fear to the place of beginning .
Being also described as the North 85- 1 / 2 feet of the following described real
estate , to -wit:
The West 131 ' of the South 200 ' of Lot 15 , the North 11 ' of the West 160 ' of
Lot 15 , and the South 74- 1 / 2 ' of the West 160 ' of Lot 14, all in Block 9 of
the County Court Addition; being situated at the Northeast corner of Dickson
and St . Charles Streets , and comprising a plot 131 ' wide fronting upon the
North side of Dickson Street , by a depth of 285- 1 / 2 ' along the East side of
St. Charles Street , plus an additional area of 29 ' ( E- W ) x 85- 1 / 2 (N- S)
adjoining at the Northeast corner thereof.
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing ,' setting forth the date , time , place and
purposes of hearing , and location of property was published in the Northwest Arkansas
Times , a newspaper of general circulation in said City , more than 15 days prior to said
public hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning Commission certified to the
City Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , its recommendation that an ordinance
be . adopted rezoning said above described real estate from R - 4 Multi - Family Residential
and Dormitory District to C- 3 Central .Commercial 'District,
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY: THE . CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS:

Section 1 . That said above described real estate be and the same is hereby rezoned
from R - 4 Multi - Family Residential and Dormitory District to C- 3 Central Commercial
District ,
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed, and this action being necessary for the public health, peace , safety, order ,
comfort , and convenience within the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage , approval , and publication.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 10th day of April , 1961 .
