ORDINANCE NO. 1259
AN ORDINANCE TO SUSPEND THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS AND
CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY FOR HOME OCCUPATION, . UNTIL AN
AMENDMENT IS PERFECTED TO THE PRESENT, ZONING , ORDINANCES
PERTAINING TO HOME OCCUPATIONS .
'WHEREAS $ it has come to the attention of the City Council of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , that an amendment to the present Zoning. Ordinances pertaining to .
home occupations is necessary to promote . the best . interests of the general public ;
and
WHEREAS , any amendment to the present Zoning Ordinances will take
a certain amount of time to accomplish and perfect; and .
WHEREAS , it will be necessary to suspend the issuance of any building
permits and certificates of occupance for home occupations during this period
of time , until the Zoning Ordinance can be amended;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS:,
1 . That no building permits orcertificates of occupancy be issued . for
home occupations by any City Official, Agent , or Employee until the proposed
amendment to the present Zoning . Ordinance is accomplished and .perfected.
2 . This action being necessary for the public health , peace , safety ,
order , comfort, and . convenience, within the City. of Fayetteville , Arkansas , , an.
emergency is hereby declared ,to exist and this. ordinance shall . be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval .
