WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Planning of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas , on November 11 , 1960 , onthe petition o �c and
Myrtle Rose Garriott, Husband and Wife , Howard Anderson, Thomas fFkB ' denthal
and Dorotha A . Bridenthal , Husband and Wife , requesting that said Planning Commission
recommend to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that said City
Council enact an ordinance rezoning all that portion of Garriott Subdivision to the City
of Fayetteville , and Anderson' s Second Addition to the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
not presently zoned as " I- 2 Heavy Industrial District" from "R - 2 Two Family Residential
District " to !!I- 2 Heavy Industrial District" and
WHEREAS , notice of said public hearing , setting forth the date , time , place , purposes
of hearing , and location of property was publishedin the Northwest Arkansas Times , a
newspaper of general circulation in said City, more than 15 days prior to said public
hearing , and
WHEREAS , following said public hearing , said Planning Commission certified to the
City Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , its recommendation that an ordinance
be adopted rezoning all that portion of Garriott Subdivision to the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , not presently zoned as 11I- 2 Heavy Industrial District"' from "R- 2 Two Family
Residential District" to 11I- 2 Heavy Industrial District " .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That all, that portion of Garriott Subdivision to the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas , and Anderson' s Second Addition to the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , not
presently zoned as . "I- 2 Heavy Industrial District" be , and the same is hereby rezoned
from "R - 2 Two Family Residential District" to 11I- 2 Heavy Industrial District" .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed, and this action being necessary for the public health , peace , safety, ' order ,
comfort, and convenience within the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage , approval , and publication.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 14th day of November , 1960 .
