E USE OF OFF- STREET PARKING FACILITIES OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , CRE - ATING .AND DEFINING PARKING. METER ZONES PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION OF INDIVIDUAL PARKING SPACES; DEFINING AND PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF PARKING METERS; PRESCRIBING PARKING TIME LIMITS ; REQUIRING DEPOSIT OF COINS FOR THE USE OF PARKING METERS AND PARKING METER ZONES AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION AND DIS= POSITION OF SUCH COINS, REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR . THE ENFORCEMENT THEREOF; DEFINING OFFENSES AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES; AND PROVIDING THAT INVALIDITY OF PART SHALL NOT AFFECT THE VALIDITY OF THE REMAINDER . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS SECTION 1 . That Section 6 of Ordinance No. 1083 as amended by Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1231 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit : Section 6 . Parking Time Limits . ( a) Parking or standing a vehicle in a designated space in a parking meter facility shall be lawful. for twelve ( 12) minutes upon deposit of a one cent coin, twenty-four ( 24) minutes upon the deposit of two ( 2 ) one cent coins , thirty- six (36) minutes upon the deposit of three ( 3 ) one cent coins , forty- eight ( 48) minutes upon the deposit of our one cent coins , or sixty (60) minutes upon the deposit of five ( 5) one cent coins or one ( 1) five cent coin of the United States of America; such parking shall also be lawful for like periods of time for certain designated parking meters from one ( 1 ) hour to ten ( 10 ) hours , inclusive , upon de- positing the necessary amount of coins , either nickels or quarters , required for the amount of parking time desired at the aforesaid rates of five ( 5) cent? per hour . (b) Said parking meters shall be operated in said parking meter facilities every day between the hours of eight o ' clock A. M. and six o ' clock P. M. , except Sundays and legal holidays ; provided however that parking meters in said parking meter facilities locatednear the intersection of Gregg Avenue and Dickson Street shall be operated every day between the hours of eight o' clock. A. M. and nine o'clock P . M. , except Sundays and legal holidays , and parking or standing a vehicle at said parking meter facility shall be lawful for sixty (60) minutes upon the deposit or one ( 1) five cent coin of the United States of America and such parking shall also be lawful for six (6 ) hours upon the deposit of one quarter coin of the United States of America. SECTION 2 . That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 8th DAY OF AUGUST, 1960 .
