ORDINANCE NO. / 20 /
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1008 APPROVED
OCTOBER 22 , 1951 , REZONING AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THERETO
ZONING ORDINANCE NO , 1002 APPROVED SEPTEMBER 10 , 1951 , AS AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE NO . 1005 APPROVED OCTOBER 8 , 1951 , AS AMENDED : TO
REZONE CERTAIN REAL ESTATE FROM ZONE A- RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO
ZONE B- RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT .
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Planning Commission
of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas on May 5 , 1959 on a proposed ordinance
to rezone the following described land located in the City of Fayetteville, Washing-
ton County, Arkansas from zone A- Residential District to zone B- Residential
District :
Part of the NE 1 /4 of the NW 1 /4 of Section 10, Twp . 16 N. Range
30 W . , described as follows : Beginning at a point 20 feet West of the
SE corner of said 40 acre tract, and running thence North 609 . 85
feet ; thence West #3 . 55 feet ; thence South 609 . 85 feet to the South
line of said 40 acre tract; thence East 693 . 55 feet to the place of
beginning, containing 9 . 72 acres , more or less .
and,
WHEREAS, a notice of said public hearing, setting forth the time, place
and purpose thereof was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a newspaper
of general circulation in said City, more than 15 days prior to said public hearing
and
WHEREAS, following said public hearing, said Planning Commission
certified to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas , its recommend-
ation that an ordinance be passed rezoning the above described tract of land from
zone A- Residential District to zone B- Residential District ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That the following described real estate situated within the
corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas , be,
and the same hereby is , rezoned from zone A- Residential District to zone B -
Residential District , to-wit :

Section 2 . That all ordinances and partsof ordinances in conflict with
this ordinance are hereby repealed, and this action being necessary for the
public health, peace , safety, order, comfort and convenience within the . City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas , an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval .

COMMISSION DIRECTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, A-RKANSAS, RECOMMENDING PASSAGE
. OF A PROPOSED ORDINANCE
The Fayetteville City Planning Commission hereby certifies that a public
hearing was held before it on May 5, 1959 , on the Petition of J . E . McClelland
and O. H . Gamble, in behalf of the Trustees of the First Presbyterian Church
of Fayetteville, Arkansas , requesting said Planning Commission to recommend
to the .City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas that said City Council
pass an Ordinance rezoning the following described real estate located in the
City of Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas from zone A Residential
District to zone B- residential District :
Part of the NE 1 / 4 of the NW 1 /4 of Section 10 , " T.wp . 16 N . Range 30 W . ,
described as follows : Beginning at a point 20 feet West of the SE corner
of said 40 acre tract, and running thence North 609 . 85 feet; thence West
"3 . 55 feet; thence South 609 . 85 feet to the South line of said 40 acre tract;
thence East 693 . 55 feet to the place of beginning, containing 9 . 72 acres ,
more or less .
That a Notice of said public hearing setting forth the time , place, and purpose
thereof was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times , a newspaper of general
circulation in said City, more than 15 days prior to said public hearing.
That at the close of said public hearing, there being a quorum of the
membership of said Planning Commission present, . •a motion was duly made , second-
ed and passed that said Planning Commission recommend to the City Council
of the City of Fayetteville that said City Council pass an Ordinance re - zoning
the above described area of land from Zone A Residential District to Zone
B- Residential District .
