AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0, 1008 APPROVED - OCTOBER 22, 1951, REZONING
AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THERETO ZONING ORDINANCE N0, 1002- APPROVED SEPTEMBER 10,
1951, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE N0. 1005 APPROVED OCTOBER 8, 1951, AS AMENDED: TO IN-
CLUDE RESERVED PARKING LOTS FOR OFF-STREET PARKING AS A PERMITTED USE IN A ZONE C-
RESIDENCE DISTRICT,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Planning Commission of -'-the ' City
Of Fayetteville, Arkansas on March 24, 1959 on a proposed ordinance to include re-
served parking lots 'for off-street parking as a permitted use in a Zone C-Residence
District,, ..and
4PHEREAB, a notice of said public hearing setting forth the time, place and o
purpose thereof was published in the Northwest -Arkansas Times , a newspaper of general
circulation in said City, more than 15 days prior to said public hearing, and
WHOM., following said public hearing, said Planning Commission certified to
the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas its recommendation that an
ordinance be passed amending the present zoning ordinance to include reserved parking
lots for off street parking as a permitted use in a Zone C-Residence District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,

Section l : That the present zoning ordinance be, and the same hereby is,
amended to include reserved parking lots for off-street parking as a permitted use
in a Zone C-Residence District,
Section 2 : That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed and this action being necessary for the public health,
peace, safety, order, comfort and convenience within the City of Fayetteville.. Arkansas,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval,

FAYETTEVILLE ARKANSAS RECOM OMING PASSAGE OF A PROPOSED ORDINANCE
The Fayetteville City Planning Commission hereby certifies that a public
hearing was held before it on March 24, 1959 on a petition requesting said City
Planning Commission to recommend to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville
that said City Council pass an ordinance amending the present zoning ordinance
to include parking lots for off street parking as a permitted use in a zone "C" -
Residence District.
That a notice of said public hearing settingforth the time, place and pur-
pose thereof was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times, a newspaper of general
circulation in said city, more than fifteen (15 ) days prior to said public hearing.
That at the close of said public hearing, there being a quorum, of the member-
ship of said Planning Commission present , a motion that said Planning Commission
recommend to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville that said City Council
pass an ordinance amending the present zoning ordinance to incluX parking luta 10 es
for off street parking as a permitted use in a zone "C" - Residence District was
duly made, seconded and passed.
