AN ORDINANCE RELOCATING THE FIRST FIRE ZONE BETWEEN ROCK
STREET AND FIFTEENTH STREET ALONG SOUTH SCHOOL AVENUE AND
BETWEEN A NORTH-SOUTH LINE PARALLEL TO AND 140 FEET WEST OF
THE WEST LINE OF SOUTH SCHOOL AVENUE AND THE WEST LINE OF
BUCHANAN AVENUE AS EXTENDED WX 7HIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE. ARKANSAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . The first fire' zone is hereby established to include a zone
three hundred and forty (340) feet wide , extending one hundred and seventy
( 170) feet on each side of the center line of South School Avenue , from the north
line of Rock Street `south to the south line of Fifteenth Street .
SECTION 2 . The first fire zone is hereby established to include a zone
three hundred and sixty (360) feet wide , extending one hundred and eighty ( 180)
feet on eech side of the center line of West Sixth Street (Highway 62 West) ,
from a north south line parallel to and one hundred and forty ( 140) feet west
of the center line of South School Avenue west to a point on a line parallel with
the west line of Buchanan Avenue,
SECTION 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances to the extent that
they are in conflict with the terms and provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed and it appearing that this ordinance is' necessary to promote public
health. safety, and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Fayetteville , Ark
ansae , an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 22 day- of December . 1958 .
