AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0 . 1153) PASSED AND APPROVED
DECEMBER 91 19572 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . That Ordinance No . 1153 , passed and approved December 9 , 1957 ,
be and the same is hereby amended by adding to said Ordinance the follow-
ing Section , to-wit :
" Section 6 . That the provisions of this Ordinance shall not apply to
the soliciting of orders for the sale of goods , wares and merchandise
and/or disposing of and/or peddling or hawking the same by represent -
atives of religious , educational , charitable or benevolent organizations " .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
wiith are herewith and hereby repealed and this action being necessary
for the preservation of the public health, peace , and prosperity ,
safety, order , comfort , and convenience of the citizens of the City of
Fayetteville , Arkansas, an 'emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force , from and after
it& passage and approval .
PASSED AND APPROVED this 10th day of March, 1958 .
