ARKANSAS , REGULATING AND FIXING FARES OR TARIFFS TO BE CHARGED BY
THE PUBLIC PASSENGER CARRIER IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS
PRESCRIBING PENALITIES AND OTHER PURPOSES $
WHEREAS , all persons , firms , and corporations operating taxi
cabs in the city of Fayetteville , Arkansas , have agreed and con-
sented and have shown cause whereby the fares should be raised .
And for their other services , and whereas the City Council of the
city of Fayetteville has made a careful study of rates and fares. .
to be charged by taxi cabs that will give the public reasonable
rates with a fair return to the taxi cab operators .
Now , therefore , be it ordained by the City Council of the
city of Fayetteville , Arkansas , that Section 1 of Ordinance 910
be amended to read as follows :
The taxi cab fare for one person shall be forty cents ; for two ,
fifty cents ; and for each additional passenger , twenty-five cents
from any one point to any one point within an area bounded as follows :
Starting at the NorthAWest corner of the intersection
of North Street and Hi-way 71 running thence due West
along North Street to the North West corner of North
Street and Garland ; thence ,South along the West side
of Garland to Cleveland ; thence , due West along the
North - side of Cleveland to Sunset ;
; thence , across Clevland to the �1B6+ h
side of Cleveland ; thence , East to the West side of
Garland ; thence , South to the North side of West Maple ;
thence , West one -hundred yards ; thence South across
West Maple to the South side thereof ; thence , East to
the West side of . Garland ; thence , South along the West
side of Garland and West side of California Drive to
the intersection of Garland and West 6th St ; thence ,
East following the South side of 6th Street to South
Hill ; thence , South on the West side of .Hill to the
railroad tracks ; thence , following the railroad tracks
to the side of Hill Street ; thence , North along the
East side of Hill Street to South side of 6th Street ;
thence , East along the South side of 6th Street to
Government Avenue ; thence , South along West side of
Government Avenue to the National Cementary ; thence ,
East to the West side of West Avenue ; thence , South
along the West side of West Avenue to the South side
of 11th Street ; thence , East along the South side of
11th Street to the East side of Burch Avenue ; thence ,
North to. the South side of 7th Street ; thence , East
along the South side of 7th Street to the East side
of Wood Avenue ; thence , North to Huntsville Road ;
thence , in a Southeasterly direction along south side
of Huntsville Road ; thence , to Rump Station Road ;
thence , back following the North side of Huntsville
Road to Willow Avenue ; thence , North following the
East side of Willow Avenue to the South side of East
Center Street ; thence , AgSt along the South side of
East Center Street to the East Bide of Fletcher Ave ;
thence , North along the East side of Fletcher Avenue
to the South side of Lafayette Street ; thence , East
along South side of Lafayette to the East side of
Tanglewood ; thence , North along the East side of
Tanglewood to the North side of East Maple Street ;
thence , Test to the East side of FaJlfn ; thence ,

The falm fixed in this section shall be known as the base taxi
cab fare and the above described area as the base area .
Section two : Each and every taxi cab ABU have displayed
in said cab a schedule of rates and a map showing the base area .
Section three : Shall be amended as follows : The schedule
of taxi cab fares for the number of persons shown are hereby fixed

Section four : It appearing that the fixing of fares of taxi
cabs within the City of Fayetteville city limits is immediately
required and emergency is hereby declared to exists this ordinance
shall be in full force and effedt from and after its passage and
approval .
