AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON BOTH SIDES OF HILL
AVENUE BETWEEN CENTER STREET AND TREADWELL STREET, AND PROHIBITING
THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THE EAST SIDE OF HILL AVENUE BETWEEN TREAD-
WELL STREET AND WALL STREET (ALSO KNOWN AS HIGHWAY NO, 62 WESTv IN THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILEE, ARKANSAS ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS :
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, to park a vehicle of any
kind whatsoever on the pavement on the east side or west side of Hill Avenue between Center
Street and Treadwell Street, in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas ,
Section 2 . It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, to park a vehicle of any
kind whatsoever on the pavement on the east side of Hill Avenue between Treadwell Street
and Wall Street (also known as Highway No. 62 West in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas ,
Section 3 . Any person, firm or corporation, violating Section 1 or Section 2 of this Ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in a
sum of not less than $1 . 00 nor more than $25 . 00 ,
Section 4. That Ordinance No. 1129 heretofore passed and approved on April 8, 1957 , be
and the same is hereby repealed .
Section 5 . It appearing that Hill Avenue at the points above described is congested by reason
of heavy traffic, and it being necessary for the protection of the public health and safety, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
