ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS AND
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $12 , 500 . 00 TO MAKE SUCH PURCHASE FOR THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS,
WHEREAS. the Board of Public Affairs has recommended the purchase by the
City of Fayetteville of traffic control signals for use on the public square and vicinity
of said city; and
WHEREAS , Ordinance No . 1111 heretofore adopted by the City Council provides
for the placing and maintaining of traffic and pedestrian control signal lights on the
public square in .vicinity of said city;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1 . That the sum of $ 12 , 500 . 00 be and the same is hereby appropriated
from the General Funds of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , for the purpose of
purchasing and installing traffic control signals for use on the public square , and
vicinity of paid _city .
Section 2 : That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville . Arkansas
be and the same are hereby authorised to execute such contracts as may be required
to effect ouch purchase .
Section 3 . That all ordinances and parts 1hereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval .
