AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF FAY -
ETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, ASSIGNING SAID TERRITORY TO WARDS, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES:
WHEREAS, the County Court of Washington County , Arkansas , did on
March 21 , 1956 , make an order annexing the following described territory to the
City of Fayetteville . Arkansas , to-wit:
A part of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter
of Section 17 , in Township 16 North, Range 30 West of
the 5th P . M . , and being more particularly described as
beginning at the Northeast corner of said forty acre
tract and thence running South 640 feet to the point of
beginning; thence West 175 feet , thence North 180 feet; -
thence West 60 feet; thence North 115 feet; thence East
235 feet; thence South 295 feetlo the point of beginning .
and,
WHEREAS, the County Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas , has
forwarded transcripts of said annexation proceddings to the Secretary of State
and to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1 : That the Annexation of the Above described territory to
the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas be and the same is hereby
accepted.
SECTION 2: That all of the above described territory is hereby assigned
to and made a part of Ward 4 of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 7th DAY OF MAY , 1956 .
