AN ORDINANCE LEVYING THE ASSESSMENT OF BENEFITS IN STREET IMPROV_ffffQT DISTRICT
N0. 59 OF THE CITY OF . FAYETTEVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS , PROVIDING FOR
THE ANNUAL LEVY OF ASSESSMENTS ,' AND THE COLLECTI ON , THEREOF , AND FCR OTHER
PURPOSES :
WHEREAS , more than two-thirds in value of the property holders owning . .
property adjoining the locality to be affected, and situated in Street Improve`,
ment District No . 59 of, the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, organized for the
purpose of grading, draining, paving , curbing and guttering North Street
from the center line of Shady Avenue ( extended) to the East line of North
Walnut Avenue , have petitioned the • Council of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas for the construction of said improvement - and that the cost thereof
shall be assessed upon the real property. of said district according to the
benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and parcel
of real property situated in said district equals or exceeds the local assess-
ment thereon ; and
WHEREAS , the estimated cont of said improvement to said district is
18, 000. 00
THEREFORE , IT LS NOW ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTE�-
VILLE, ARKANSAS :
That said s;veral blocks , lots and parcels of real property in said district
'be assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as
the same now remains 'in the office of the City Clerk and that ' 5" per centum
of the assessment of .each of the ,.said blocks, lots and parcels shall be
collected by the County Collector of Washington County, Arkansas on or before
the 16 day of . , February , 195.Land and : $ ; per centum of the assess-
ment shall be collected with the first installment of general taxes becoming
due . on the third Monday in February 195 4 and.
annually thereafter with the first installment of general taxes until the whole
of said local assessment shall be paid .
This Ordinance shall be in . full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval .
