"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE VACU11N LEAF LOADER
FOR THE STREET DEPART14ENT OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS ,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES . "
WHEREAS , The Street Department of the City of Fayetteville ,
Arkansas is in need of a vacumn leaf loader by reason of the fact
that the leaf problem in Fayetteville has never been solved
because of the tremendous amount of man hours required to remove
leaves from the City streets and the functions required of the
Street Department cannot be maintained without the purchase of
said vacumn leaf loader
NOW. THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the General
Fund the sum of Two Thousand, Five Hundred, and Eighty Nine Dollars
& Thirty Cents ($2 , 589. 30 ) for the purpose of purchasing a vacumn
leaf loader.
Section 2 . The Board of Public Affairs is hereby directed to
advertise for bids for said vacumn leaf loader as- set forth in their
recommendation and to proceed with the awarding of a contract and the
purchase of said vacumn leaf loader as provided by Section 19-1022
et seq and to arrange for delivery of said vacumn leaf loader at the
earliest possible time .
Section 3 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its passage .
