CT 1 9 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING ARTICLES THREE AND FOUR OF THE ABBREVIATED EDITION (1950 ) OF THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE RECOMENDED BY THE NATIONAL BOARD OF FIRE UNDERWRITES, 10V YORK, WHICH SECTIONS DEAL WITH FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS AND LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GASES ; AND ADOPTING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS CONTAINERS AND EQUIP- LENT PROMULGATED BY THE BOILER INSPECTION DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS UNDER DATES OF AUGUST 1, 1949 DEFINING THE AREAS IN WHICH TANKS MAY BE BUILT OR ERECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ABOVE REGULATIONS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES . WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas caused a notice to be published that it had under consideration the adoption of an ordinance embody- ing articles 3 and 4 of the abbreviated edition (1950 ) of the fire prevention code recommended by the National Board of Fire Underwriters , New York and of the rules and regulations governing liquefied petroleum gas containers and equipment adopted by the Boiler Inspection Division of the Department of Labor of the State of Arkansas under date of August 1, 1949, and WHEREAS , the requisite number of copies of said codes were kept on file as provided by Act 267 of the Acts of Arkansas for the year 1949 and there have been no protests or suggestions or requests for discussion, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas finds that it is to the best interest of the City of Fayetteville that the above articles of the fire prevention code and the rules and regulations governing liquefied petroleum gas containers and equipment promulgated under date of August 1, 1949 by the Boiler Inspection Division of the Department of Labor of the State of Arkansasw44aAot;54� NO711 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS : Section 1 . Articles 3 and 4 of the abbreviated edition (1950) of the Fire Prevention Code recommended by the National Board of Fire Underwriters , New York be and the same is hereby adopted for the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas. Section 2 . That the rules and regulations governing liquefied petroleum gas containers and equipment adopted by the Boiler Inspection Division of the Department of Labor of the State of Arkansas under date of August 1, 1949 is hereby adopted by the City of Fayetteville . Section 3. Storage tanks not to exceed 5x000 gallons in capacity may be erected within the fire zone adjacent to Highway 71 from Eleventh Street south to the city limits . Section 4. Storage tanks not exceeding 30, 000 gallons in capacity may be erected within two hundred feet of any existing track of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway Company south of Eleventh Street to the city limits .
