AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE EX-OFFICIO OFFICE OF CITY COLLECTOR,
DEFINING THE DUTIES OF THE CITY CLERK, FIXING HIS SALARY, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the office of Ex-Officio Collector heretofore
held by the City Clerk is hereby abolished and all duties in connection with
the collection of any funds due to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas
except as otherwise specifically prescribed 1" the general statutes
of the State of Arkansas shall be performed by the Business Office of the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas and the City Clerk of the City of Fayette-
ville , Arkansas is hereby relieved of all of his duties as such collector
of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas .
Section 2. The salary of the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas shall be $210.00 per month and his duties shall be only those '-as
specifically prescribed by the general statutes of the State of Arkansas
and those duties which may hereafter be prescribed by the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas .
Section 3 . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed and this ordinance being necessary for the
preservation of the publichealth , peace and safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage , approval and publication.
PASSED and APPROVED this day of June, 1950 .
