AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF T'VVO TANK CAR LOADS ( 203000 GALLONS )
OF OIL FOR THE STREET DEPARTMENT OF' THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES ,
WHEREAS , The Street Department of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas, is
in need of two tank car loads (20, 000 gallons ) of oil by reason of the fact
that oil is needed for repairs to the city streets and the functions required
of the Street Department cannot be maintained without the purchase of said
oil . (MC-1 and MC-3 Cutback Asphalt)
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS :
Section 1 . There is hereby appropriated out of the Street fund the sum
of Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($$2 , 2b0. 00 ) for the purpose of purchasing
two tank car loads ( 20, 000 gallons ) of oil .
Section 2 . The Board of Public Affairs is hereby directed to advertise
for bids for said oil as set forth in their recommendation and to proceed
with the awarding of a contract and the purchase of said oil as provided by
Section 19-7022 et seq and to arrange for delivery of said oil at the earliest
possible time .
Section 3 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from
and after its passage .
