AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THREE TRUCKS FOR THE STREET
DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES ,
WHEREAS , the Street Department of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas
is in need of three trucks by reason of the fact that present equipment
is worn beyond repair and the functions required of the Street Department
cannot be maintained without the purchase of said trucks .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS :

Section 1 . There is hereby appropriated out of the Street Fund
the sum of

purchasing t!}ree trucks .
Section 2 . The Board of Public Affairs is
hedirected to
advertise for bids for said trucks as set fortr recommendation
and to proceed with the awarding of a contract and the purchase of said

trucks as provided by Section 19-1022 et seq and to i%bd;mfor delivery
of said vehicles at the earliest possible time .
Section 9 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its passage .
PASSED AND APPROVED this 27th day of March, 1950.
