AN . O:�DINANCE ABOLISFt.-TNG- -DISCOUNTS ON MOTOR VEHICLE
LICENSES IN THE CITY OF FYAETTEVILLE , ARF.ANSAS , AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEV ILIE , ARK WAS :
SECTION ONE . Beginning January 1 , 1949 , discounts
allowed on the purchase of Motor Vehicle Licenses in the
City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , shall not be allowed and
shall be abolished and ' the full license shall be collected
without reduction .
SECTION TWO . All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith , and particularly Ordinance No . 887 ,
are hereby repealed .
SECTION THREE . ' It appearing that motor vehicle
license fees have been inadequate to provide necessary
funds for the maintenance of repairs necessitated by the
use of said street by motor vehicles and this ordinance
being necessary for the preservation of the public health ,
peace and safety , an emergency is hereby declared and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval .
PASSED AND APPROVED this 27th day of December , 1948 .
