AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THE WEST
SIDE OF COLLEGE AVENUE BETWEEN EAST MOUNTAIN STREET AND EAST MEADOW
STREET IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ,
ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or
corporation to park a vehicle of any kind whatsoever on the west
side of College Avenue , between East Mountain Street and East
Meadow Street , in the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ,
SECTION 2. Any person violating Section 1 of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than one dollar ( $1 . 00 )
nor more than twenty-five dollars ( $25 . 00 ) .
SECTION 3 . It appearing that College Avenue at the point
above described is very congested, by reason of heavy traffic ,
and it being necessary for the protection of the public health,
peace , and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist , and
this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval .
Passed and approved this twenty-sixth day of May , 1947 .
