AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE SEPARATE OFFICE OF FIRE CHIEF OF THE CITY '
OF FAYETTEVILLE , ARKANSAS , AND `FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , financial ,conditions of the City of Fayetteville, 'Arkansas
\•have made - it possible to -set . aside sufficient funds .to maintain the ,
separate office of .Fire Chief, and ' , ,

VEREAS ; it is desirable that 'a Fire Chief be named as soon as a
_ suitable person can be selected with necessary ;qualificationsd
> : NOFe; THEREFORE,- BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of .
Fayetteville , Arkansas :
SECTION 1 . The separate office - of Fire Chief of the City of '
Fayetteville is- hereby ' created and stiall• be filled in the manner pro- `
vided by law . .
SECTION 2 . ' All ordinances ' or parts of 'ordinances in conflict
herewith, are hereby repealed ; and it appearing - that the administration
