BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIr:Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETMWILLE, ARKMNSAS ;
Section 1 . It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, their agents ,
servants and employees to connect any sewer or system .of sewers to the system ce
outfall severs of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, until and unless complete
plans for such suer or system of severs, showing sizes of pipe materials, lo-
cations and elevations or grades and depth below ground level of such mains,
laterals and/or lines ., have been submitted to and approved by the City Engineer
of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas ; and,. after such approval , and are con-
structed in accordance with plans so su'omi.tted• and approved.
Soction 2 . A violation of Section 1 of this ordinance is hereby declared to
be a misdemenaor and punishable W a fine of not less than $25.00 nore more
than $500. 00, and in a:ldition -to such fire , the system of such sexier mains,
laterMls and/or lines shall be severed from the Sewer System of the City of
Fayetteville and not again connecte tivrowith until Section 1 of the ordinance
has been complied with.
Section 3 . Rhen any system of sewer mains , laterals or lines is contracted
as provided in Section l of this ordinance , they shall become a part of the
Sevier System of the City of Fayetteville , Arkansas , and subject to the same
supervision, use and control as are other parts of said system.
Sedtion 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in direct conflict herewith
are hereby repealed; ro= ovided,however , that all present ordinances requiring
payment of fees , inspections , otc . , shall remain in full force and effect . And
it appearing that systems of sewers arepresently planned and that they should be
constructed as provided in this ordinance in order to protect the public peace ,
health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval .
