ORDINANCE N0 .
AN ORDINANCE RECREATING THE SEPARATE OFFICE OF CITY HEALTH OFFICER
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE , REPEALING ORDINANCE NO . 877 WHICH NAMED THE
MAYOR AS THE ZX*0FFICI0 CITY HEALTH OFFICER , AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES ,
DE IT CRDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ? * ARKANSAS :
Section One . The separate office of City Health Officer of the City
of Fayetteville , Arkansas , is hereby recreated .
Section Taco . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed and specifically Ordinance No . 877 of the City -of
Fayetteville . And it appearing that there are many duties of the City
Health Officer which can be performed only by a regularly licensed
physician , and that the public health , peace and safety demands that
the duties of such City Health Officer should begin immediately , an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in '
full force and effect from and after its passage , approval and publi-
cation .
PASSED AND APPROVED this 21st day of August , 1944 .
